Thank you for sending me your poem..I went to the website to finish readng..I really love your writing..I was going to comment on it on that website but for some reason it won't open for me so I thought I would write you a note to let you know..I also read your Home Page...very powerful writing and it hit home for me..I hear and see the truth in your writings and those that came befor you...I have gratitude that your on this planet at the same time I am..its all about the "soul's food"....I read something that Sharkria wrote in her book "Woman Full Of Grace"..she had said that its her blood that speaks to her about where her people come from where her true roots come from even though she was born in Columbia but her desire to belly dance and sing writing her own music, she was made fun of in school....she is loved all over the world..when she goes to Lebanon, they truly welcome her for that is her true roots..Columbia was put to shame for casting her out but now on bended knee nail to her...alot of thoughful soulful people come from there..people that really look deeper into life what this rite of passage having to face life in its truth!!!!

Hi Shant,
You are so experssive when yo write.
I felt like the poem was talking about a love who kept coming into your life, then runnuing away wheneverr it go too close. It was like the person teased you, then crept away, not wanting to reveal their true feelings, maybe even lying about them themself (the thief reference). It was really good.
I did have one concern though. In the last stanza, the first few lines speak of the lust that is there that should be met, but the final line speaks of the divine children that will come from this. I see lust as entirely sexual, not love like. For this reason, I have tripped over the mention of children as children and lust do not belong together. They should be born of love, not lust. That is the only thing i didnt like. The rest is fantastic.
Let me know your thoughts on that

I like your daily poem! It speaks to me of such positive hope. I like how you spoke of your childhood in a positive way and your use of color to convey your feelings. And your choice of adjectives to describe your feelings. For instance, fragnant newborns, cracked green walnuts and little orange flame are all very good at envoking a feeling. I have been fairly busy good if that makes sense. All good though. I just got done reading your poem about You and I. Wow I really love it! Speaking of so many things, but also speaks for it's self in a way. Beautifully written, and yet the meaning can be taken in 2 great ways. For friendships or for lovers, and for war or peace. In other words for the first meaning, we meet up with so many people everyday. We can choose to be friends or to help other in anyway that we can when one maybe troubled in their life. The world is rough and cruel, just being there for someone can make a big change. Just showing a bit of love to one that may need can mean the world to them. It may seem like a big step to one, but only be a small step for you and I. The second meaning is that we have a choice on how we live our lives. We can live it by joining in gangs or living our lives in dealing drugs etc, or we can live in unity. Joining together and spreading love more for the world to see that there is more to life than fighting against one another. There are so many that live around us that choose war, but why when peace, joy, happiness,friendship is the greatest high that anyone could have, and all natural too.
I love all your poems, they are all lovely and well written. If all possible could you please send the poems that you have for the day to my messages here on tagged. There are some days that comments get over loaded on my page, and I may not see where you sent a poem or not. Really just don't want to miss one, they are really great. You have a great and wonderful talent, and I am so happy that you are sharing them with me.

I have been sick with the flu but feeling better now. I hope you are doing well.
I love your poems,they are so close to my life. Like I said the one about the dog really hit home. I miss her so much.We had never been seperated. No one understood that bond and then I read that poem and knew you understood.

I have just finnished reading"Reqium For Iraq" a second time, and I went on and read "Cold Are Thier Souls' I am shattered!! You have the greatest gift to be able to express things thus. The reading of your words tears my heart. I stopped many times to cry, as I have cried for the people of Palestine, and Iraq and everywhere the kings of greed and cruelty have sacrificed the innocent. I have seen most of the photos you have with the poem, and far worse!. Sometimes I feel that humankind are just a blight on this earth, at least the ones who hold power anyway. The truth rings so loud and clear in the second poem also. So much of what you say is how I feel when I look at the rape of this earth and it's people. I know that Iraqi women have been pushed back more than a hundred years in thier freedom. They cannot go out alone anymore or they could be raped by American troops, this is terrible,The children have died in thier thousands from cancers caused by the bombs carrying depleted uranium.and then the shocking embargo of the very drugs that could have given them a chance There is only one country who mass produces and uses weapons of mass destruction to such a devastating scale, and that is the US.
On a lighter note, I have a little Long legged Jack Russell Terrier. he got me through the final breakdown of my marriage and also through the seperation and divorce. He is my best mate. To an Australian a mate is a friend whom you realy love and respect, and would die for if need be. I can tottally relate to your dogs attitude of allowing you to share thier bed.. I hope you feel suitably Honoured.. I have a feeling that you do... My little dog has trained me very well. I can even understand some of his commands and my reward for this and for being his doting servant is unconditional love and the priveledge of his company and being allowed a little room in the Queen sized bed in the front bedroom.
I am going to gradually read all the poems on your site. I will now go back the the earliest ones there. I believe that poetry is the expression of a souls journey through life and I want to follow the steps yours has taken thus far.
Thankyou so much for sharing this part of yourself. and keep up walking this road even though I know it must be terribly painful for you at times. I have heard no other who could express themslves and thier time better.
